The Story
Pineapple Life was founded by Brandi Cohen, after her personal health journey through the practice of yoga and breath work. She became an evangelist for the practice, opening the doors to Pineapple Life in 2017, and growing the community year over year.

Our Role
Hero¹ was originally contracted by Pineapple Life to create a series of videos for an online library of classes. From there, the relationship scaled into digital operations – where we currently oversee all digital channels and optimizations.
The Studio
Video has been one of the most effective ways for us to connect with Pineapple members — whether that’s walking through the studio or breaking down how pricing and memberships work. These clips offer a transparent, behind-the-scenes look at the studio experience.
mindbody® Software
Like many studios, Pineapple runs on mindbody® – the leading fitness mgmt software. The first thing we did was earn our official MindBody certifications, allowing us to understand the platform on a expert-level.
Operation [rebrand]
Kicking off 2024, we initiated a rebranding effort to help optimize the business overall.
We introduced a completely revamped brand identity, in addition to launching a new simplified pricing program.

Virtual Assistant - Mai
As a part Pineapple’s AI strategy, we created Mai, a virtual assistant to help field missed calls, let clients self-service (via text), and manage leads.
She was created using mindbody’s Messenger Ai feature. Learn more about the program here.

Successful projects

Hero¹ was instrumental in discovering Homebase, a digital timekeeping and scheduling platform for employees. The platform allows employees to self-service their schedule, swap shifts, communicate with their shift lead, and much more. By leveraging this employee-driven platform, Pineapple was able to reduce man-hours spent laboring over scheduling.

Similar to Wikipedia, modern companies utilize a tool called an employee knowledge base, which serves a similar purpose. Pineapple needed an EKB to help with onboarding new employees, documenting SOPs, and creating playbooks for future franchising opportunities. Hero¹ discovered and developed Pineapple’s EKB using Slab.

Perhaps our most complex challenge, sunsetting Pineapple’s original unlimited pricing program and moving to a limited credit-based pricing program. Through targeted research, ongoing client communication and focus-grouping, we delivered a new pricing program that increased profitability, and simplified membership options for clients.
