The Story

What if women’s knowledge could be measured, credited, and monetized with the same rigor as capital? Co-Founders Miri Rodriguez and Stacey Danheiser saw AI as the equalizer — a way to close a 123-year gender gap. Their platform, Empressa AI, transforms women’s insights into digital assets that generate recognition, royalties, and representation in a new knowledge economy.

Our Role

Initially brought on to define the brand identity, Hero¹ quickly became an embedded creative and design partner—shaping everything from Empressa’s visual language to the user experience.

Elevating Women

Empressa’s mission is to redefine how women’s expertise is valued in the modern economy. By turning insights into digital assets, the platform creates visibility, ownership, and opportunity for women across industries. Each contribution becomes both recognition and reward—helping women rise collectively through technology built for equity. Every corner of this digital ecosystem was (and is) designed to elevate women from all walks of life.

Brand Identity

Empressa came to us with a powerful concept and a clear vision for how they wanted it to look and feel. With Co-Founders Miri Rodriguez and Stacey Danheiser—both seasoned brand and marketing leaders—the creative direction was focused and fast. The “Double S” logo represents women or “sisters” coming together.

Secondarily, a matching brand persona was developed for “Empressa,” the brand’s AI.

Development Log

Before any product development could begin, we had to map out the user journey, which would later go on to inform the product design.

Central to Empressa’s mission, the user interface (or “UI”) had to be intuitive, and accessible for women across all demographics – while staying on brand, and inviting the user to the brand story.

This stage focused on building the core product — Empressa AI. From the brand perspective, we helped refine the AI’s conversational intelligence, natural language understanding (how women speak to the AI), and the brand voice guide (how the brand is expressed across all responses). Think of it like training a new employee on the brand’s “voice.”

Hero¹ was responsible for co-creating all of the initial front-end design, or client-facing screens across all digital channels (product, web, comms). For example, what does the sign-in screen on mobile look like? We helped design that.

Hero¹ created Empressa’s initial community or membership-hub via Heartbeat.chat, a robust community management platform. The hub was used for tutorials, user feedback, tech tips and live events.

The Soundtrack

As a part of every major project, our team assembles a shared music playlist that represents the ‘sound’ of the brand we’re developing. This added element enables us to utilize another one of our senses when creating the brand.
